# Deal commands: update, delete

### Deal.update
Changes the given properties of a Deal. [Verb page](/business/nouns/deal/update?interface=cli).

Emits `Deal.updated`.

**Inputs**

| `nextStep` | `text` | No | The next dated step agreed with the buyer. |

### Deal.delete
Deletes a Deal: a soft delete that keeps its history, undone by `Thing.restore`. [Verb page](/business/nouns/deal/delete?interface=cli).
