# Source commands: update, delete

### Source.update
Changes the given properties of a Source. [Verb page](/business/nouns/source/update?interface=cli).

```

Emits `Source.updated`.

**Inputs**

| `id` | `string` | Yes | The id of the Source. |
| `acquired` | `string` | No | One of `owned`, `wrapped`, or `recruited`. |
| `terms` | `text` | No | The terms the Startup holds the right to use and resell it under. |

### Source.delete
Deletes a Source: a soft delete that keeps its history, undone by `Thing.restore`. [Verb page](/business/nouns/source/delete?interface=cli).
