# Example projects

URL: /code/examples · Id: `page:code/examples`

> One example project per Startup Template, each a cast Startup these docs run against, starting with Leaseline.

Each [Startup Template](/business/nouns/startup-template), a kind of [Template](/business/nouns/template), has one example project, and Leaseline is the first. Every example is a [Startup](/business/nouns/startup) from the cast these docs run against, so its ids match the pages.

## The examples
| Example | Template | Built in |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Leaseline (`leaseline.app`) | [Solo SaaS](/start/templates/solo-saas) | [Learn](/code/learn), twelve tutorials |
| Ratebook (`ratebook.dev`) | [Autonomous data API](/start/templates/autonomous-data-api) | [Building an API business](/start/tutorials/building-an-api-business) |
| Catalogmend (`catalogmend.com`) | [Agent-run services firm](/start/templates/agent-run-services) | [Building a service business](/start/tutorials/building-a-service-business) |
| Kiln Bakery (`kilnbakery.com`) | [Autonomous storefront](/start/templates/autonomous-storefront) | [Earning first revenue](/start/tutorials/first-revenue) |

## Repositories and checkpoints
Each example is a public repository that CI builds against every release, with a tag per tutorial checkpoint, such as `leaseline@ch04`. A `--example` flag on `create startups` starts a project from one. The repositories, their tags and the flag have status `planned`.

Leaseline's build output is published, with its OpenAPI document, SDK types, MCP tools and [App](/business/nouns/app) routes: see [what compiles](/products/what-compiles).
