> The .sb folder holds the repository manifest, the resolved Startup and the generated types.

The `.sb/` folder holds the repository manifest, the whole resolved [Startup](/business/nouns/startup), and the types generated from it.

```text
.sb/
├── repo.jsonc       the Roots in this repository and which side leads
├── resolved/        the whole Startup, own and inherited (git-ignored)
└── types/           types for every Noun (git-ignored)
```

## Reference
| Path | Written by | Commit |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `repo.jsonc` | `npm create startups` | Yes |
| `resolved/` | `dev` and every pull | No |
| `types/` | `dev` and every pull | No |

`repo.jsonc` lists each root folder with its kind and leader: `git` when commits import as [Changes](/business/nouns/change), `db` when files regenerate from the record.

## Examples
### Minimal
```json title=".sb/repo.jsonc"
{ "roots": [{ "path": ".", "kind": "startup", "leader": "git" }] }
```

### Leaseline
```json title=".sb/repo.jsonc"
{
  "roots": [
    { "path": ".", "kind": "startup", "leader": "git" },
    { "path": "code/partner-webhook", "kind": "implementation", "leader": "git" }
  ]
}
```

## What it builds
Nothing. The [StartupBuilder](/code/builders/startup) writes `resolved/` so any agent reads the whole Startup in one place.

## Good to know
- To see where a value came from, run `npx startup-builder show /offers/pro/price`.
