# Bill methods: approve, pay

### Bill.approve
Approve accepts a coded Bill for payment within the approver’s Mandate and schedules it for its due date. [Verb page](/business/nouns/bill/approve?interface=sdk).

Emits [`Bill.approved`](/business/events/Bill.approved).

### Bill.pay
