# Persona methods: update, delete

### Persona.update
Changes the given properties of a Persona. [Verb page](/business/nouns/persona/update?interface=sdk).

Emits `Persona.updated`.

**Inputs**

| `from` | `string` | No | Lineage: the slot it compiles from, as `Hypothesis#<slot>@v<version>`. |

### Persona.delete
Deletes a Persona: a soft delete that keeps its history, undone by `Thing.restore`. [Verb page](/business/nouns/persona/delete?interface=sdk).

Emits `Persona.deleted`.
