# Charge per seat

URL: /products/app/charge-per-seat · Id: `guide:charge-per-seat`

> Say "charge $15 a month for each person on the account" and get a per-seat Offer whose count follows the people in each customer account.

A per-seat [Offer](/business/nouns/offer) counts the people in each [Customer](/business/nouns/customer)'s workspace, its [Tenant](/business/nouns/tenant), and bills for each one. Someone joins, the next invoice adds a part-month charge; someone leaves, the seat comes off.

Needs: [Let customers sign in](/products/app/let-customers-sign-in)

**Before real money moves**

- Who says yes: You. Your agent shows you the run and waits for your [Approval](/business/nouns/approval).
- You leave the chat: Once, at Stripe: to confirm who you are and add the bank account payouts land in.

## What you get
- 1 Offer at $15 per person per month (Offer)
- 1 seat count per customer, taken from the people in their account (Subscription)
- 1 part-month charge or credit each time someone joins or leaves (Invoice)
- 1 seat line on the pricing page and each invoice (Invoice)

## Your agent does
**For agents**

- Guide: `guide:charge-per-seat`, status `live`. Page: [/products/app/charge-per-seat.md](/products/app/charge-per-seat.md).
- Approval: ask the founder first. Show the run, then wait for their Approval; a refusal ends it.
- Leaves the chat: Once, at Stripe: to confirm who you are and add the bank account payouts land in.
- Needs first: [Let customers sign in](/products/app/let-customers-sign-in).
- Run: call the steps in order, each through the API, SDK, CLI or MCP tab below; a later step passes the `$id` an earlier one returns. Each value marked example is the sample business’s: pass the founder’s own.

| Step | Verb | Inputs (type, required, this guide’s value) | Returns |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 1 | [`Offer.create`](/business/nouns/offer/create) (`verb:Offer.create`) | `price` money, required: example `{"amount":15,"currency":"USD"}`; `terms` text: example `"Monthly, per person on the account. Added people bill from the day they join."`; `interval` string: example `"month"`; `seats` string: example `"members"` | `offer` Offer |
| 2 | [`Offer.publish`](/business/nouns/offer/publish) (`verb:Offer.publish`) | `offer` Offer (an id), required: the `$id` step 1 returns | `offer` Offer |

Returns: the last call answers with `offer` and its `action`, whose `status` is `done`, `pending` (waiting on an Approval or a Worker), `failed`, `canceled` or `refused`:

{
  "api": "https://api.sb/leaseline.app",
