## Trigger
Runs every month. Part of [Books](/workflows/processes/books), run by the [Finance Team](/agents/finance).

## Steps
1. Reconcile every Stripe Transaction with its Entries.
2. Recognize revenue on delivered Orders and elapsed Subscription days.
3. Record payouts and fees. It waits 1 business hour first.
4. Close the Period.
5. Lock the Period once the Founder approves. It waits 1 business hour first.
6. Send the profit and loss to the Founder.

## Example
On the first working day, monthly close finds 312 of 314 Stripe Transactions already reconciled during the month. It matches the last two, recognizes [Subscription](/business/nouns/subscription) revenue, locks the Period, and sends the [Founder](/agents/founding/founder) the profit and loss.
