## Trigger
Runs on `Thread.created` where `intake = 'whistleblower-reports'`. Part of [Whistleblower reports](/workflows/processes/whistleblower-reports), run by the [Legal Team](/agents/legal).

## Steps
1. Acknowledge the report within seven days.
2. Keep the reporter’s identity out of every record management can read.
3. Investigate and record the findings as Evidence.
4. Record the outcome and any fix as a Decision.
5. Tell the reporter what was done within three months of the report.

## Example
A contractor reports that refunds are refused against policy. The [Compliance Officer](/agents/legal/compliance-officer) acknowledges in a day and finds 14 refused refunds in the record. A [Decision](/business/nouns/decision) refunds them, and the reporter hears back within six weeks.
