Corrections
Corrections fix one record of a Dataset in place, keep the value it replaced, and tell every Customer who read it.
Contract
Status planned. A correction fixes one record that was wrong when it was served, with the reason and the Source that shows the right value. The record keeps the value it replaced, and every Customer that read the wrong value hears about it.
| Proposed | Holds |
|---|---|
Thing.correct | The record, the field, the right value, the reason and the evidence |
Thing.corrected | The Event: each Customer's change feed and webhooks carry it |
A correction is not a refresh: a refresh records that the world changed, and a correction records that the Dataset was wrong. A served value later corrected can count against the Dataset's quality terms.

Example
Ratebook served a 7.25% rate for an address that sits in a district with an extra 0.5%. The correction records 7.75% with the district's ordinance as evidence, and the 14 Customers who looked it up get the Thing.corrected Event.
